These langoustines were on special offer. I thought why not, I’ve never cooked them before. Quick Google search and it couldn’t be easier. Throw them into boiling water for 3 mins. They tasted great 🦂
The kids and I made some sushi together. It was great fun… especially with the super sticky rice! We filled them with cucumbers, red peppers and mushrooms cooked in soya sauce, mirin, rice vinegar, garlic and ginger. Totally delicious and very moreish 🍣😊
Pizza has got to be one of my favourite meals ever! 😍🍕 But I’ve always struggled at home to make a good dough with a normal domestic oven. I keep dreaming about building a proper brick wood fired pizza oven in the garden, but it hasn’t happened yet. As a result I’m always trying new recipes for dough. I recently found @robertaspizza dough recipe on the @nytimes website and it’s been brilliant and tasty. It’s quite a wet dough and a bit tricky to handle but I’m getting used to it. Fantastic pizzas! 😊🍕😍

I had roasted carrots with vegetable puree and pickles. My wife had pea soup.
For mains I had a lentil curry, onion bhaji with sweet onion foam and gel. Never had gel before, very good! My wife had fungi pappardelle.
The meal was delicious.
I had this years ago in Thailand and it’s been one of my favourites ever since – bananas in coconut milk.
1 can of coconut milk heated in a pan. Add chopped banana when it begins to boil. Turn down heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add a teaspoon of maple syrup. Serve up. I also added some toasted hazelnuts. So quick and so delicious 🍌🌴😊
I love a simple and super tasty menu. I went to Noya’s Kitchen (@noyaskitchen) for Pho Tuesday and it was fantastic.
You could choose from two starters and three types of pho. There was beef, chicken or tofu pho. The kind of easy choices I like!
I went for tofu. When it arrived the broth was delicious. Tasty selection of vegetables and fantastic tofu. It was just the right level of spicy.

Eggs, spicy black beans, blanched cavolo nero, avocado on rye bread, and finished off with a dusting of parmesan. Tasty and very filling after a long day
Totally delicious light, crispy and buttery croissants 🥐😀 OMG, I could eat them all day long. I’ve seen canelé online loads of time but had never tried them and today I spotted them at the market. They’re brilliant! Sugary, caramely, and slightly chewy exterior – which also slightly reminded me of the top of a crème brûlée. The inside has slight moist custardy vanillay cakey flavour and texture. Amazing!
